Refund and Returns Policy

Because many of the items we sell are pre-owned, vintage, collectible, discontinued, unique, or one of a kind, all sales are considered final.

We make every reasonable effort to accurately identify, photograph, describe, and disclose the condition of each item. Pre-owned and vintage merchandise may show signs of age, previous use, storage, handling, wear, patina, fading, scratches, minor imperfections, repairs, or other characteristics consistent with its age and history. These characteristics are not considered defects when they are shown in the photographs or described in the listing.

We encourage customers to carefully review all photographs, descriptions, measurements, condition notes, and other listing details before purchasing. Photographs are considered part of the item description.

Exception for Items Not as Described

A return may be accepted only when the item received is materially different from the item described or shown in the listing.

Examples may include:

  • Receiving the wrong item
  • Significant damage or defects that existed before shipment but were not disclosed
  • A substantial error in the item’s description, model, size, quantity, or other material characteristic

Minor differences in color caused by photography, lighting, monitors, or screens; normal wear consistent with a pre-owned or vintage item; buyer’s remorse; fit or size issues when measurements were provided; or imperfections that were disclosed or visible in the listing photographs are not considered “not as described.”

If you believe an item was materially misrepresented, please contact us within 3 days of delivery and provide photographs clearly showing the issue. Please retain the item and all original packaging while the matter is being reviewed.

If we determine that the item was materially not as described, we may authorize a return and issue a refund after the item is returned in the same condition in which it was received.

No Returns for Change of Mind

We do not accept returns or exchanges because a buyer:

  • Changes their mind
  • No longer wants or needs the item
  • Finds the item elsewhere for a different price
  • Misjudges the item’s size despite measurements being provided
  • Dislikes normal age-related wear or characteristics that were disclosed or visible in the listing

One-of-a-Kind Items

Many items offered by That’s A Good Idea cannot simply be replaced with another identical product. For this reason, we strongly encourage buyers to ask any questions they may have before completing their purchase.

Our goal is not to hide flaws, but to give buyers enough information to make an informed purchasing decision.

By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges that they have reviewed the item description and photographs and agrees to this Return & Refund Policy.
