These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ThatsAGoodIdea.com (the “Site”) and any purchases made through the Site.

By accessing the Site, creating an account, placing an order, or purchasing merchandise from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order.

1. About Our Merchandise

That’s A Good Idea sells a wide variety of merchandise that may include:

  • New merchandise
  • Pre-owned merchandise
  • Vintage and antique items
  • Collectibles
  • Artwork and decorative objects
  • Knives and tools
  • Taxidermy and natural-history items
  • Jewelry and watches
  • Furniture and home décor
  • One-of-a-kind and unusual items

Many products are pre-owned, vintage, discontinued, collectible, handmade, or one of a kind.

Because of the nature of this merchandise, products may show signs of previous use, age, storage, handling, wear, patina, fading, scratches, discoloration, repairs, manufacturing variations, or other imperfections.

These characteristics do not necessarily constitute defects.

2. Product Descriptions and Photographs

We make every reasonable effort to accurately identify, photograph, measure, describe, and disclose the condition of the merchandise we sell.

However, with vintage, antique, collectible, handmade, and pre-owned merchandise, complete information about an item’s:

  • Age
  • Manufacturer
  • Artist or maker
  • Materials
  • Country of origin
  • Production history
  • Previous repairs
  • Ownership history
  • Authenticity
  • Exact model or variation

may not always be available.

When an identification or attribution is uncertain, we may use terms such as “appears to be,” “believed to be,” “attributed to,” “possibly,” “likely,” or similar language.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these descriptions should not be interpreted as professional authentication, appraisal, certification, or guarantee.

Product photographs are considered part of the product description.

Customers should review all available photographs, descriptions, measurements, and condition information before purchasing.

Colors may appear somewhat different depending on lighting, photography, display settings, and individual devices.

3. One-of-a-Kind Inventory

Many of our products are available in a quantity of only one.

Placing an item in your shopping cart does not necessarily reserve it. An item generally remains available until checkout and payment are successfully completed.

Although we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate inventory, occasionally an item may become unavailable because of:

  • A simultaneous sale
  • Inventory errors
  • Damage discovered before shipment
  • A prior sale through another sales channel
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

If we are unable to fulfill an order, we may cancel the affected item or order and refund any amount paid for it.

4. Pricing

All prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

We attempt to maintain accurate pricing but reserve the right to correct typographical, technical, or pricing errors.

If an item has been listed at an obviously incorrect price, we may cancel the order and issue a refund rather than complete the transaction at the incorrect price.

Prices may change without notice.

A price displayed on a previous visit does not guarantee that the same price will remain available later.

5. Orders and Order Acceptance

Submitting an order does not automatically mean that we have accepted the order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including because of:

  • Inventory errors
  • Pricing errors
  • Suspected fraud
  • Payment problems
  • Shipping restrictions
  • Legal or regulatory restrictions
  • Age-restricted merchandise
  • Errors in the product listing
  • An item being damaged or unavailable
  • Orders placed for resale or fraudulent purposes under suspicious circumstances

If payment has already been collected for an order we cancel, the applicable amount will be refunded.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered during checkout.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.

Use of a payment provider may also be subject to that company’s terms and privacy policy.

7. Sales Tax

Applicable sales tax may be collected based on the shipping destination, pickup location, transaction type, and applicable law.

Customers remain responsible for any taxes, duties, fees, or charges that are legally their responsibility and are not collected during checkout.

8. Shipping

Available shipping methods and charges will normally be shown during checkout or on the applicable product page.

Shipping estimates are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Carrier delays
  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Incorrect addresses supplied by the customer
  • Government actions
  • Customs delays
  • Other unforeseen events

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address.

Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the customer’s responsibility.

9. Local Pickup

Some large, fragile, heavy, unusual, or otherwise impractical-to-ship merchandise may be designated Local Pickup Only.

Products designated Local Pickup Only will not ordinarily be shipped.

Pickup arrangements must be coordinated with us after purchase.

Customers should not travel to pick up an item until a pickup date, time, and location have been confirmed.

The purchaser is responsible for providing appropriate:

  • Transportation
  • Loading assistance
  • Packaging or blankets
  • Tie-downs
  • Equipment
  • Personnel

necessary to safely transport the item unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Ownership and responsibility for the item transfer to the purchaser upon pickup.

10. Returns and Refunds

Due to the pre-owned, vintage, collectible, and often one-of-a-kind nature of our merchandise, all sales are final except when an item is materially not as described.

Our separate Returns & Refunds Policy is incorporated into these Terms.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the listing carefully before purchasing.

A return will not normally be accepted because of:

  • Buyer’s remorse
  • A change of mind
  • Normal vintage or pre-owned wear
  • An imperfection disclosed in the description
  • A condition issue clearly visible in the photographs
  • Color differences caused by displays or photography
  • Size or fit when measurements were accurately supplied

If an item is materially different from its description, the customer should follow the procedure described in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

11. Shipping Damage

If an item arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us promptly and retain:

  • The item
  • The shipping carton
  • Packing materials
  • Shipping labels
  • Any damaged components

We may request photographs of the item and packaging so that we can evaluate the damage and, when applicable, pursue a carrier or insurance claim.

Do not dispose of the item or packaging until the matter has been resolved.

12. Knives and Other Age-Sensitive Merchandise

Some products offered on the Site, including certain knives or similar merchandise, may be subject to age requirements or restrictions.

As a store policy, purchasers of knives must be 18 years of age or older.

By purchasing a knife or other age-sensitive product, you represent that:

  • You meet our minimum age requirement
  • You are legally permitted to purchase and possess the item
  • Delivery of the item to your location is lawful
  • You will use the item only for lawful purposes

We may request age or identity verification when appropriate.

Knife laws vary by state, city, county, and other jurisdiction. The purchaser is responsible for determining whether possession, purchase, shipment, or use of a particular item is lawful in their location.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a sale when we believe shipment or sale may violate applicable law or carrier requirements.

13. Taxidermy, Wildlife and Natural-History Items

Some merchandise may consist of or contain taxidermy, hides, horns, antlers, skulls, bones, feathers, shells, or other wildlife-related materials.

Wildlife laws can vary substantially depending on:

20. Safety and Use of Merchandise
